Episode 6 of the new Spice and Wolf anime series is titled “Merchant and Unreasonable God” and is set to air on May 6th. It will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The episode synopsis reveals that after Lawrence successfully retrieves Holo with the help of the Milone Trading Company, the two are forced to flee through underground canals as they are pursued by the Medio Trading Company. As they try to reach the surface, their pursuers gradually get closer. Wounded and cornered with their path blocked, an unexpected figure suddenly appears before them.
The Spice and Wolf anime is being animated by Studio Passione, known for Interspecies Reviewers. Veteran director Hijiri Sanpei is helming the project, with support from staff like character designer Koji Haneda and music composer Kevin Penkin.
The voice cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Lawrence, Ami Koshimizu as Holo, Mai Nakahara as Norah, and other talented Japanese voice actors.
Based on the popular light novel series, this new anime continues the story of the traveling merchant Lawrence and the wise wolf goddess Holo who accompanies him on his journeys. The episode 6 preview sets up an intense chase sequence and potential new complications for the duo.
