Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! was a popular comedy anime premiered in 2020. This series follows Shinichi Sakurai, who prefers to study in solitude, away from the chaos of his classmates. But when Hana Uzaki enrolls in his school, this all changes for her–and for Shinichi too.

Uzaki follows and bothers Shinichi every day. Shinichi can’t avoid Uzaki, who is talkative and always teases him. This starts a beautiful relationship between a quiet senior and an active junior.

But unfortunately, he gets stage fright, and each of his magic performances ends up seeming like a complete failure.

Tejina-senpai is similar to the character from the anime, “Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai,” because they have a similar “tease the main character” premise. Like Tejina, Uzaki has silver hair and a big oppai.

Teasing Master Takagi-san is a show with the main character, who beautiful girls constantly bully. While the main character of Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai tends to say things without thinking and gets into wild situations often, Takagi is more subtle, smarter, and smoother. From an entertainment aspect, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is just as funny as Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai.

Aho Girl is all about Hanabatake Yoshiko. This beautiful and cute girl looks like a normal girl in general but is the dumbest girl in the entire galaxy. At Yoshiko’s school, her little friend Akutsu Akuru always has to pander to her every whim to keep up with what is happening. Plus, Sumino Sayaka-Yoshiko’s best friend who accepts what she is-, and the student council president who has a secret crush on Akutsu.

Akutsu shares some character traits with Shinichi. When there’s a main female character around, Akutsu will turn into his Tsundere side. If he’s overly mean to the female main character, there’s a chance she’ll fall for him even more.

4. My Love Story!! (Ore Monogatari!!)

In the adaptation of the famous manga by Kazune Kawahara, Ore Monogatari tells the story of Takeo Gouda, a muscled man who has been unsuccessful with relationships. However, everything changes when he meets Rinko Yamato – a cute young woman who falls in love with him.

The anime, Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai and Ore Monogatari!! Both provide comedy. While Takeo and Shinichi have little in common from a character perspective, they share the same relaxed atmosphere.

After being embarrassed by his youth with chuunibyou syndrome, Yuuta enrolled in a high school. He wanted to start fresh but was again met with the same disease. He wished he could forget about his past and have a normal first day of school, but he soon realized this was impossible when he met someone else with the same problem.

This is similar to what happens to the protagonist of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai, Uzaki-chan. He’s always followed by strange women, who indirectly cause him to be in unfamiliar situations.

The anime that aired in the Winter 2020 season is Murenase! Seton Gakuen is centered around Seton Academy, where various races study. The story follows Mazama Jin, a human who goes to school at the academy. Jin dislikes the animal race because he thinks other than humans, all other beings are trouble-makers.

Jin finds himself in trouble with Ranka, a girl from the wolf race. He gets into a bad mood and has difficulty adjusting to life at school on his first day of class. There’s also Hitomi Hino, a fellow human, with whom he’s decided to start a cooking club.

Murenase Seton Gakuen and Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai feature a main character who has completely changed their once-peaceful life after meeting an unfamiliar girl.

Grand Blue is one of the best and funniest comedy anime of 2019. It follows the story of Kitahara Iori, a first-year student at Izu University, who lives with his uncle after being bitten by the same bug. But when Iori accidentally becomes entangled in the university’s diving club, he gets more than he bargained for.

Grand Blue might be the one for you if you’re into comedy anime. It has plenty of comedic scenes that focus on Iori and his friends. With a level of maturity higher than Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai, this anime is right up your alley.
