Sajin was seeking revenge against Yhwach for killing Genryusai Yamamoto, his master. To do so, he gambled with his life and unlocked his clan’s secret technique, the Humanization technique. This allowed him to transform into a powerful human-like form with immortality for a limited time.

In the episode, Bambietta, a Quincy girl, used her explosive reishi bombs in a fierce battle against Shinji, but Sajin intervened to save Momo. He realized that her attacks couldn’t be guarded against, as everything they touched turned into a bomb.

Through flashbacks, we learned that Sajin’s entire Werewolf clan was cursed for their past sins, and the Humanization technique was their way to gain redemption. Sajin ripped out his heart to learn the technique and gained immense power.

He then revealed a new form of his Bankai, Kokujo Tengen Myo-oh Dangai Joue. In this form, his Bankai appeared without armor, showing a fearsome demonic figure with burning eyes.
