In January 2024, series creator Jon Hurwitz shared on social media that filming had begun again, bringing the Cobra Kai family back together. Netflix also released a video on February 5 showing cast members discussing the production, hinting that everything is going smoothly.

Actor William Zabka also gave fans a sneak peek behind the scenes on Instagram, confirming that they’re working on what he calls the “biggest season” yet.

The most significant update came when Hurwitz shared another post, indicating they’ve already filmed enough scenes to envision the direction of the first two episodes.

Filming for Season 6 started in January, and if it follows the timeline of Season 5, it could wrap up around May or June. Considering this, we might see Cobra Kai Season 6 released by the end of 2024.
However, there’s also a chance Netflix might hold off on the release until 2025 to have more content for the following year. Given that Season 4 premiered on December 31, 2021, it’s possible that Season 6 could follow a similar strategy and debut on the last day of 2024.
