The character designs, and creature creations are in the capable hands of Naoyuki Onda (“Psycho-Pass: The Movie,” “MF Ghost”) and Yoshimichi Kameda (“Mob Psycho 100“). Adding to the immersive experience is the music composed by Kensuke Ushio, the genius behind the scores of “Chainsaw Man,” “Devilman Crybaby,” and “Heavenly Delusion.”
The story follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritual mediums, and her partner Okarun, a fan of the occult. After Momo rescues Okarun from bullies, they initiate a conversation that leads to a friendly argument. Momo believes in ghosts but denies the existence of aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but not ghosts.
To prove their beliefs, Momo visits an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been sighted, and Okarun explores a tunnel rumored to be cursed. Unexpectedly, they both encounter uncontrollable paranormal activities beyond their understanding. As Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse, they must overcome these new dangers together. Will their fateful bond also blossom into something more?
