The upcoming episode 5 of “The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio” anime, set to air on May 8, has unveiled preview images and a synopsis. Studio CONNECT is handling the animation for the series. Take a look at the preview images below:

The “The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio” anime series is based on light novels by Ko Nigatsu and illustrated by Saba Mizorure. Starting in February 2020, the novels are published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint and currently have nine volumes.

Umemi Makimoto began a manga adaptation in 2020, which has three volumes. Studio CONNECT is animating the series with director Hideki Tachibana, scriptwriter Keiichiro Uchi, and character designer Shoko Takimoto.

The anime follows Yuhi Yugure and Yasumi Utatane, two high school voice actresses who host a weekly radio program in the same class. Despite portraying great friendship on air, in reality, the quiet Chika and the gyaru Yumiko cannot stand each other and chaos ensues off air.

Voiced by Moe Toyota, Yuhi Yugure (Chika Watanabe) and Miku Ito, Yasumi Utatane (Yumiko Sato), along with other characters like Otome Sakuranamiki (voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa) and Mekuru Yubisaki (voiced by Nao Toyama), navigate their tumultuous relationship both on and off the airwaves.

To apologize for the livestreaming of the guerilla, Yumiko and Kagasaki head to Yuhi’s office. The agency’s president, Mr. Kashima, informs them that Yumiko could have continued her career as an idol voice actress without any problems even if she had not taken action.

Yumiko still says she does not regret her action, but Kashima raises his eyebrows at her words. On their way home, Yumiko and her friends run into Mekuru Yubisaki, Yuhi’s senior, but they do not expect what she says.
