Denis Villeneuve’s monumental adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga continues with Dune: Part 2, resuming the story immediately following its predecessor’s climax. With Villeneuve already confirmed a third film to finish this sprawling trilogy, fans have wondered whether Part 2 features the now-commonplace post-credits scene to tease what’s next.

However, despite its grand scale and vocal fanbase akin to superhero franchises, Dune: Part 2 does NOT contain any additional footage during or after the end credits roll. The film is over 160 minutes long and tells a complete narrative arc without needing a teaser coda. This also aligns with Villeneuve’s past directorial preferences, making a post-credits addition feel unnecessary.
That’s not to say the conclusion doesn’t open doors for the forthcoming finale. Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides has further great purpose to fulfill on Arrakis that Part 3 can address. The story conveys this through impactful ending shots rather than an extra scene.
