Eldest Sister Banri Takes the Spotlight in Latest Shiunji Family Children Teaser

Studio Doga Kobo has released a character trailer featuring Banri Shiunji, the eldest sister in the upcoming anime adaptation “The Shiunji Family Children.” Based on the manga by “Rent a Girlfriend” creator Reiji Miyajima, the series is scheduled to debut in April 2024.

Veteran voice actress Chika Anzai will portray Banri, leading an accomplished cast that includes Marika Kono (Seiha), Rie Takahashi (Oka), Hana Hishikawa (Minami), Kana Ichinose (Kotono), Yuichiro Umehara (Arata), and Chiaki Kobayashi (Shion).

Adding to their performing duties, the five female lead voice actresses have collaborated on the anime’s opening theme song, titled “LIKE YOU o(＞＜ = ＞＜)o LOVE YOU?” which was previously showcased in the series’ initial trailer.

The creative team brings together industry veterans, with Ryouki Kamitsubo directing and Noboru Kimura handling the series composition. Mikio Muto serves as character designer, while the musical team consists of composers Akki, Ginga Hoshino, and Shota Horie, with PHYZ directing the soundtrack.

The source material, currently running in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine since February 2022, follows the wealthy Shiunji family’s seven siblings.

While the story centers on eldest son Arata’s relationship with his often-teasing sisters, a dramatic revelation from their father upon the youngest daughter’s 15th birthday promises to shake the family’s foundation. English-speaking readers can access the manga through Yen Press, which has licensed the series for international release.
