It is hard to know what information about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) video game is real or just speculation. New details come out daily, but we are waiting for the first trailer likely in early December.
Recently, there was talk of GTA 6 pre-order details leaking from Argos, a British retailer. On November 23rd, an Argos representative tweeted that GTA 6 pre-orders for Xbox and PlayStation would open on December 12th. They claimed their distributors confirmed this date.
This date lines up with expectations – Rockstar Games said to expect the GTA 6 trailer in early December. It would make sense for pre-orders to open right after the trailer reveals more about the game.
However, the reliability of this pre-order date is questionable. It could be a mistake, placeholder date, or Argos not having accurate information. Another known Rockstar news site contacted Argos and was told this December 12th date is not confirmed.
Retailers tend to get early pre-order information from game publishers because of high demand. But for now, the pre-order date remains uncertain. We will likely have to wait for the trailer in the next few weeks to know more.
