Rosario was once a candidate for top leadership, but others thought he would betray them. When the police were tipped off about the organization, Rosario was suspected of being the informant, though he denied it. The group attacked him as a result.
During intense roadwork training, a physically exhausted Rosario sees a vending machine but lacks the money to buy a drink. This angers him and motivates him to make Mashiba suffer. Rosario later passes the second weight check. At the press conference, he silently drinks water, refusing to speak to reporters while Mashiba doesn’t attend.
Kumi has Mashiba take a supportive phone call from his colleagues at Tanaka Transportation. Sendō calls Mashiba, mentioning how Rosario barely gained weight and didn’t train enough. He relays that the person beside him wants Mashiba to take the belt and avoid serious injury.
After the call, it was revealed that Sendō was with Miyata. An argument erupts as Miyata denies saying what Sendō told Mashiba.
