How Many Seasons will Fallout have?

The Fallout series on Prime Video continues to be a massive hit two months after its premiere. The adaptation of the Bethesda video game quickly became the second most-watched series in the platform’s history, prompting Amazon to confirm its second season within a week. But the creators have bigger plans for their vision of this vast post-apocalyptic world.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, the showrunners, discussed various aspects of the future of Fallout. One question that concerns fans the most is how many seasons the adaptation will have. Previously, the creators joked about making 100 seasons to dodge the question.

“We’ve joked about doing a billion seasons to avoid the question because we don’t control that. So, we want to end each season with a semi-open ending,” Wagner replied, highlighting their lack of control over the number of seasons.

However, Wagner expressed their intention to make a specific number of seasons: “We have talked about doing three seasons and we have also talked about doing five. Given the success of the series, it seems there will be five. But we’re in a temperamental industry, and we have to work through each season thinking, ‘this is the last one.'”

Robertson-Dworet comically added, “When season five comes, we could be replaced by robots.” She also appreciated the opportunity to “bring to the screen all the things that didn’t fit so well in season 1,” indicating that the Fallout universe has only just begun.

Fallout Season 2 Release Date?

As for the release date of Season 2, which is currently unknown, Wagner mentioned, “We are going as fast as we can, and we have a lot of work done from the first season. We have sets, props, and visual effects that are already done. Let’s accelerate to finish season 2 as soon as possible.”

The live-action Fallout series, part of the video game saga’s canon, will continue on Prime Video with a second season focusing on Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) setting aside their enmity to pursue Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) and claim their revenge.
