3. Eureka Seven AO (2012)

The story unfolds on the secluded island of Iwado in Okinawa, where there’s a growing movement for self-governance. Ao, a 12-year-old boy with a missing father, resides on the island with an elderly doctor named Toshio. His mother was taken away a decade ago by an unknown person.
Out of the blue, a mysterious entity called “Secret” appears and attacks the Scub Coral creatures on the island. In a passionate effort to protect the island, Ao boards a military facility called “Nirvash” aboard a Japanese military transport.
Interestingly, Ao’s parents, who mysteriously disappeared recently, are the main characters from Eureka Seven.
