The film Inside Out 2 achieved a remarkable 30.5 million views worldwide within its first five days on Disney+. This impressive performance made it the biggest debut of 2024 on the platform and the largest streaming launch for a film released in theaters since Encanto in 2021. Additionally, it marked the biggest launch ever in the regions of Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

With 153.6 million subscribers globally, Disney+ has seen a surge in engagement with the Inside Out franchise. Following the release of the first teaser for the sequel, the original 2015 film also experienced a significant boost in views, reaching over 121 million.

Box office records

Inside Out 2 had already set several records before its streaming release. The film premiered in theaters in June and reached the impressive milestone of $1 billion at the global box office in 19 days, making it the fastest animated film to achieve this feat.

With $1.7 billion, it surpassed Frozen 2, becoming the highest-grossing animated film ever. Inside Out 2 is the biggest box office success of 2024 and is the only animated film to exceed $1 billion in international markets alone, excluding the North American box office.
