Kaiju No. 8 has revealed a preview for episode 5, which is scheduled to air this Saturday, May 11th. After last week’s intense battle with a mysterious kaiju, the episode will show the candidates recovering.
A significant event is also teased – the ceremony for appointing new members to the Defense Force will be held. However, the protagonist, Kafka, is curiously nowhere to be seen initially. But he soon shows up, and despite failing the exam, he becomes a cadet based on a recommendation from Hoshina. This overjoys Kafka’s friends, but it seems Hoshina may have an ulterior plan brewing.
The Kaiju No. 8 anime is animated by the acclaimed Production I.G studio, with Tomomi Kamiya and Shigeyuki Miya serving as directors. Ichiro Okuchi handles the series composition, while character designs are by Tetsuya Nishio. Mahiro Maeda and Khara Studio are overseeing the kaiju and creature designs.
New episodes stream simultaneously on Crunchyroll and Twitter/X as they air in Japan. After the simulcast, episodes are also made available for traditional streaming on Crunchyroll.
