Nintendo Switch owners have a short window to personalize their digital profiles with a new set of Super Mario-themed icons. The company has released over 20 new icons featuring beloved characters from the Mario universe, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad, among others.
These icons are available through the Nintendo Switch Online service and can be acquired using Platinum Coins, one of Nintendo’s free digital currencies. Each icon costs 10 Platinum Coins, making them accessible to most users who have accumulated this virtual currency.
To access these limited-time icons, Switch owners should:
- Navigate to the Nintendo Switch Online tab on the console’s home screen
- Select the ‘Missions & Rewards’ tab
- Choose and download the desired icons
- Apply the new icon by clicking on the current profile picture
It’s important to note that these Super Mario icons will only be available until October 14, giving fans a limited time to add them to their collection.
This release is part of Nintendo’s ongoing efforts to provide customization options for Switch users, partially addressing the lack of extensive profile customization compared to previous handheld systems like the Nintendo 3DS.
