On Thursday, December 7th, the official website and X account for the upcoming anime “Metallic Rouge” shared a new trailer. This trailer revealed when the anime will premiere, more actors that have been cast, and the theme songs.

“Metallic Rouge” is being produced by the animation studio Bones. Based on the new trailer, the anime series will premiere on January 10th, 2024.

A new photo highlighting the main characters was also unveiled along with the trailer. “Metallic Rouge” is a special project by Studio Bones to celebrate 25 years since the studio was created.

The anime was first talked about earlier this year during a Fuji TV livestream event about new anime shows coming in 2023. Fans are excited to finally know when “Metallic Rouge” will be released following this latest trailer.

In the latest update, the Metallic Rouge anime will debut on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming slot on January 10, 2024. Exciting news for global fans, as Crunchyroll is slated to stream the series worldwide, except in Asian regions. While it’s unclear if Ani-One Asia or Muse Asia will also pick up the anime for streaming, fans can anticipate catching it on Crunchyroll.

In addition to the broadcast details, the promotional video revealed the anime’s opening and ending songs. Yu-Ka, a popular Japanese pop singer, takes on the opening track titled “Rouge,” while DAZBEE contributes the ending theme, “Scarlet.”

The main trailer showcases the battles between Rouge and her partner Naomi, who transform into Metallic Rouge to protect humanity. The narrative unfolds as the duo is tasked with eliminating nine hostile artificial humans targeted by the world’s government.

The trailer highlights Studio Bones’ impressive animation work, particularly in bringing the mecha elements of the anime to life. Alongside Rouge and Naomi, the preview introduces the rest of the anime’s cast members. Stay tuned for an action-packed adventure!

The tech-noir anime Metallic Rouge is in the capable hands of director Motonobu Hori at Studio Bones, and Yutaka Izubuchi is the mastermind behind the mecha designs. Star Blazers 2199’s chief director oversees the scripts, with Toshizo Nemoto taking charge of the screenplay.

Yume Miyamoto, a renowned voice actress, takes on the role of Rouge Redstar, while Tomoyo Kurosawa portrays her partner, Naomi Ortmann.
