Its world has three main groups – regular people, Cursed Spirits, and Jujutsu Sorcerers. The Cursed Spirits range from crazy strong Special Grades to Vengeful Spirits who mess with human lives. But the Jujutsu Sorcerers are the only ones with the power to fight these evil spirits.
Whether it’s an intense Cursed Spirit or a skilled Jujutsu Sorcerer, the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen pull off some truly wild feats that show beating them is no cakewalk. The fights blow your mind! So in a nutshell, that mix of sweet powers and a great plot explains why the anime has so many fans. It’s just a blast to watch.
Powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen
10. Maki Zenin
Maki is from the famous Zenin family, one of the top three Sorcerer bloodlines in Jujutsu Kaisen. But even though she was born without powers, Maki said, “Hold my beer,” and became a total beast! Her Grade 4 rank doesn’t show how nasty and strong she is.
When it comes to using cursed tools as weapons, no one at Tokyo Jujutsu High can touch Maki’s skills. The girl has versatility for days! Don’t let her cute appearance fool ya either – she packs some monstrous strength. Like this one time, she smacked Aoi Todo, the dude built like a tank, right in the face with a baseball and knocked him out cold!
So, in summary, don’t sleep on Maki just because she wasn’t born a sorcerer or looks non-threatening. She worked hard to develop some insane combat abilities using cursed tools. Her talent plus relentless drive makes Maki a frightening opponent for anyone up against her! No wonder she’s a fan favorite – you can’t help but root for her with that underdog story.
9. Kento Nanami
As a Grade 1 sorcerer, Kento Nanami is one of the strongest fighters in Jujutsu Kaisen. He showed off his badass combat skills when he went up against the Special Grade Curse Mahito. Nanami can easily overwhelm enemies with his fists until he draws his blunt sword and finishes them.
My dude is packing some massively powerful cursed energy. He uses it to activate his two special moves, “Overtime” and “Revealing One’s Hand.” When Nanami draws that blunt blade of his, he strikes enemies in their weak spots with surgical precision, slicing them clean in half. Brutal!
So, in a nutshell, Nanami has the strength, sword skills, and cursed energy to scrap with the heaviest hitters out there. Grade 1 sorcerers are no joke, and Kento Nanami proves why – he took on one of the strongest villains in the series and lived to tell the tale. Nanami is not someone you want to battle alone in a dark alley!
8. Mahito
Mahito is one of the main villains in Jujutsu Kaisen and a Special Grade Cursed Spirit – so yeah, super nasty customer. After chomping down on three of Sukuna’s severed fingers, his strength has shot through the roof. To give you an idea, he once made Yuji’s head bleed instantly and was only at half-power.
The fingers also give him an endless supply of Cursed Energy, so Mahito never runs out of gas during fights. Cheater! He can further kick things up with his “Self-Embodiment of Perfection” Domain Expansion, making him even more beastly.
So, in summary, between his hax abilities, hacked power-ups from Sukuna, and crazy Domain, Mahito is trouble with a capital T. Our heroes have faced some fearsome foes, but this dude is easily one of the worst. Here’s hoping they can find some way to take him down!
7. Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro is a major bad guy from Gojo’s backstory, known as the Sorcerer Killer. He’s also the father of one of the main characters – Megumi. Toji used to be part of the Zenin family before he went rogue.
Unlike most Jujutsu Sorcerers, he was born without any cursed powers. But Toji makes up for it with his Heavenly Restriction ability, which gives him boss-level physical abilities instead.
Since he has zero cursed energy, other sorcerers can’t detect Toji. He can sneak past the watchful eyes of Gojo’s Six Eyes like it’s nothing. Pretty handy trick!
So even though he has no curses, Toji is still a huge threat, thanks to his insane combat skills. No wonder they call him the Sorcerer Killer when this guy can easily take out magic users! He earned his nasty reputation fairly and squarely. Fighting Toji is pretty much asking for trouble – sorcerer or not.
6. Fumihiko Takaba
Fumihiko Takaba is the goofball of the series. Dude does not read the room and will crack jokes, trying to make people laugh even when things are super serious. As you can guess, his sense of humor doesn’t land with those around him, so his hopes of being a comedian crashed hard.
But don’t let the lame jokes make you think Takaba can’t throw down! He’s a crazy, skilled fighter who can defeat multiple tough opponents without sweat. Like this one time he sent Hazenoki flying through a whole building with a single punch – that’s just wild strength right there!
His most insane move is his “Comedian” cursed technique, which experts say could be on Gojo’s level. So, while Takaba might not make you laugh, he can make you cry if you fight him! This dude is no joke about battle, even if his comedy needs work. He’s way stronger than his personality suggests.
5) Hanami
Hanami is a Special Grade Cursed Spirit born from the fear of land-based natural disasters to eliminate humanity for destroying nature. He possesses immense strength and durability that even Maki’s cursed tools could not dent his body.
Due to his peculiar affiliation with nature-based cursed energy, Hanami could rapidly heal any damage done to his body. He can also manifest a limb if he loses one. Hanami’s Domain Amplification can nullify any Cursed Technique it comes into contact with.
4) Suguru Geto
Suguru went to Jujutsu High with Gojo and Shoko back in the day. He looked down on regular humans, seeing Sorcerers as superior. The guy was so nuts he once killed hundreds of ordinary people for no reason.
Even though he was one of the top Special Grade Sorcerers, people saw Suguru as the worst because he was evil. He had his cursed techniques mastered, though. With his massive cursed energy reserves, the dude could control thousands of curses simultaneously. Suguru could even absorb curses and store a ton of them to unleash in one mega attack.
So, in summary – Suguru was a crazy, powerful Sorcerer and a twisted guy. Controlling that many curses and hating normal humans is just psycho behavior. No wonder people were afraid of him with skills and ideas like that! He wasn’t someone you’d want to meet in a dark alley, that’s for sure.
3) Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta initially didn’t have any natural Jujutsu talent, but he became a Special Grade Cursed Human due to the vengeful spirit of his childhood friend, Rika. The curse from Rika granted him immense Cursed Energy, elevating him to one of the four renowned Special Grade Sorcerers. Surprisingly, Yuta’s Cursed Energy surpassed even Gojo’s.
Despite having a less adept body handling such potent Cursed Energy, Yuta found ways to overcome this weakness. He improved his strength, agility, endurance, and more. With Rika’s spirit by his side, Yuta gained the ability to mimic others’ cursed techniques with just a brief glance.
2) Ryomen Sukuna
It was way back when the sorcerers managed to take down the super-powerful curse Sukuna. But since he was too strong to destroy completely, they decided to seal away his 20 fingers so he couldn’t reincarnate.
That worked until Yuji Itadori accidentally swallowed one of the fingers, which brought Sukuna back by essentially making Yuji’s body his new home.
Sukuna can make and control fire whenever he wants. And in his Malevolent Shrine Domain, his Cleave and Dismantle moves let him slash anything to bits that enters it. He’s the King of Curses – the most fearsome and unbeatable cursed spirit we’ve seen in Jujutsu Kaisen.
So, in other words, Sukuna is not someone to underestimate. He used to rule the roost big time when he was first around, and now that he’s back, it seems like history might repeat itself! It makes things interesting for our main characters to figure out how to deal with such a crazy, powerful spirit hanging around in Yuji’s head!
1) Satoru Gojo
Gojo isn’t just the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer; he’s the most OP character in the entire Jujutsu Kaisen world. His insane Cursed Energy stores, top-level fighting skills, and raw power are enough to scare the pants off even the nastiest Cursed Spirit, no problem.
Dude’s also seen as the crown jewel of his family’s legacy because, in 400 years, he’s the first one lucky enough to be born with both the Six Eyes and Limitless technique. Gojo also keeps some killer moves ready, like Hollow Purple, Reverse Red, and his Ultimate Void Domain – nasty!
So yeah, in a nutshell, Gojo’s the man regarding strength in Jujutsu Kaisen. No wonder he’s so confident! With his abilities, I’d be too. You don’t wanna mess with him, that’s for sure.
