Netflix Releases Trailer for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End; March 1 Premiere

Netflix has officially released the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End trailer, confirming that the anime will arrive on the platform on March 1.

The first season, animated by MADHOUSE, aired for 28 episodes starting September 29, 2024, and Season 2 is already in production. The anime will be available on Netflix in the US, Canada, LATAM, and more. You can watch the new trailer below.

Production Team & Voice Cast

The series, directed by Keiichiro Saito, features Tomohiro Suzuki as the composer, Reiko Nagasawa as the character designer, and Yuri Fujinaka, Reiko Nagasawa, and Maru Takase as the chief animation directors. The soundtrack was composed by Evan Call.

The main voice cast includes:

In the 2023 Anime of the Year Awards, Frieren won Best New Anime, Best Adaptation, Best Fantasy, and Best Adventure, ranking 2nd in Best Drama and 3rd in Best Animation. The Winter 2024 anime rankings further solidified its success, with the second course taking five awards and placing as a runner-up in multiple categories, just behind Bokuyaba, which dominated the season.

Manga & Streaming Availability

Written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. It is available to read on Sunday Webry, Viz Media, and Shogakukan Comic’s website. The anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
