The highly anticipated One Punch Man Season 3 is steadily progressing, with J.C. Staff handling the animation again after working on Season 2. As 2025 marks the anime’s 10th anniversary, the production team is dedicated to ensuring this milestone season meets the high expectations of fans.

In a recent interview published on J.C. Staff’s official website, One Punch Man Season 3 producer Atsushi Fujishiro acknowledged the upcoming season’s excitement.

“Preparations for One Punch Man Season 3 are steadily progressing. It’s a completely different kind of project compared to our other upcoming anime, but it’s a popular title, and we know expectations are high. We’re working hard to make sure we don’t disappoint.”

The interview also shed light on the studio’s work environment and the challenges of anime production. Fujishiro highlighted the importance of balancing professionalism with open communication, fostering an atmosphere where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas and concerns. He emphasized that clear communication is essential for maintaining high production quality.

Regarding the difficulties of animation production, Fujishiro admitted that tight schedules often lead to unexpected hurdles.

“More often than not, things don’t go as planned,” he explained, noting that while unforeseen issues arise, the team’s passion for improving the final product also plays a role in reshaping the process. However, he expressed that the satisfaction of completing a project makes all the challenges worthwhile.

Fujishiro stressed the importance of daily check-ins with the team to keep production running smoothly. He believes that offering support during high-pressure periods and recognizing the team’s hard work helps maintain morale and build a stronger, more cohesive unit over time.

With the immense popularity of One Punch Man, the pressure to deliver a top-tier adaptation is undeniable—especially given the high standard set by MADHOUSE in Season 1. J.C. Staff is again taking on that challenge, with a talented team leading the charge.

The third season’s production team includes Tomohiro Suzuki in charge of series composition, Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa handling character design, and Makoto Miyazaki returning to compose the music.

The festival will feature live performances of the anime’s opening and ending theme songs, a special concert showcasing its background music, and a voice-acting event with cast members. The lineup of performers includes:

  • JAM Project
  • Hiroko Moriguchi
  • Makoto Miyazaki (Music Composer)

  • Kaito Ishikawa (Voice of Genos)
  • Hikaru Midorikawa (Voice of Garo)

Season 3 will focus on the Hero Hunter arc, chronicling Garo’s rise and intense battle against the Hero Association.

The One Punch Man franchise has come a long way since its origins as a webcomic created by ONE in 2009. It later received a digital manga remake illustrated by Yusuke Murata, which has been serialized in Tonari no Young Jump since 2012. Viz Media licensed The manga in English and has gained a massive global following.

The anime adaptation debuted in 2015, and MADHOUSE animated it under the direction of Shingo Natsume. The first season was widely praised for its stunning animation and dynamic fight sequences. In 2019, J.C. Staff took over for Season 2, with Chikara Sakurai as director.

Now, as One Punch Man Season 3 draws closer, all eyes are on J.C. Staff to see how they will bring the Hero Hunter arc to life. With high fan expectations, the studio is aware of the pressure and is working hard to deliver a season worthy of the beloved franchise.
