Shaman King is a manga series created by Hiroyuki Takei, and it was published from 1998 to 2006. The story follows the exploits of Yoh Asakura, a shaman who has to gather all the other shamans and defeat the demons taking over the world.

Synopsis:
Shamans are individuals with an extraordinary ability to communicate with ghosts and spirits that ordinary people cannot see. A Shaman Fight is held where these shamans come together and fight each other to determine which will be named Shaman King. The Shaman King has the power to call on the Great Spirit to shape the current world as they see fit.
When Oyamada is late for class and takes a shortcut to school through a cemetery, he stumbles across a boy who asks him to stargaze with “them”. Realizing that “them” is referring to the boy and his ghost friends, Oyamada decides it’s safer not to get involved.
Later, the boy introduces himself as You Asakura, a participant in a spiritual ceremony aimed at becoming Shaman Kings. With help of Amidamaru the six-hundred-year-old samurai ghost and his assistant Manta Oyamada, Asakura sets out on new adventures that will help him achieve his goal.
