The first half of season 3, based on the fourth book “Seducing Mr. Bridgerton,” focused on the romance between Colin and Penelope. This story will remain the main focus in the final four episodes. At the end of part 1, Colin confesses his feelings for Penelope and proposes to her, unaware she is Lady Whistledown. This revelation is likely to come out in part 2.
Part 2 is also expected to delve into Eloise’s rivalry with Penelope, who she discovered as Lady Whistledown at the end of season 2. Eloise doesn’t yet know about Colin and Penelope’s wedding plans. When she finds out, she might have mixed feelings about her former friend marrying her brother, which could lead her to reveal Penelope’s secret.
Additionally, part 2 will explore Eloise’s growing friendship with Cressida, showing her desire to move on from Penelope. Francesca’s relationship with John Stirling will also be featured more deeply. Overall, the main focus of the second part of season 3 will continue to be the romance between Colin and Penelope and Colin’s reaction to discovering Penelope’s secret identity.
