The Red Queen series, based on Juan Gómez-Jurado’s best-selling novel, has released all seven episodes on Amazon Prime Video. Starring Victoria Luengo as the brilliant Antonia Scott and Hovik Keuchkerian as her partner Jon Gutiérrez.

The series follows their investigation into the murders and kidnappings committed by the enigmatic Ezequiel. The gripping finale not only leaves viewers stunned but also craving more.

(Warning: Spoilers ahead)

In a shocking twist, it is revealed that Ezequiel is not an individual, but a duo consisting of Nicolás Fajardo, a supposedly deceased police officer, and his daughter Sandra, who was also presumed dead. Sandra masterminds the entire scheme while manipulating her unstable father to carry out the crimes.

The climax sees Antonia’s son kidnapped, but she and Jon manage to locate the secret hideout before it’s too late. In a violent confrontation, Fajardo is killed, and Antonia outsmarts Sandra, luring her into a trap that ultimately crushes her.

Who is Mr. White and His Plans

Life appears to settle down for Antonia and Jon, who have developed a close friendship. However, a final surprise unveils that the entire ordeal was orchestrated by the brilliant and dangerous Mr. White (Eduardo Noriega). DNA analysis reveals that the real Sandra had died long ago, and the villain was merely an impostor aiming to manipulate Fajardo and destroy Antonia.

Antonia realizes that the Ezequiel case locations form a perfect “W” on the Madrid map, signifying Mr. White’s signature. She acknowledges that even her IQ of 242 cannot save her from White’s machinations, setting the stage for a potential second season adapting the novel “Loba Negra.”

Amazon Prime Video has yet to officially green-light the next season, waiting to gauge the success of “Red Queen.” Confirmation is expected in the coming weeks or days.
