Demon Slayer has taken the anime world by storm, captivating millions of fans worldwide. The storyline revolves around Tanjiro Kamado, the main character, who is trying to eliminate all demons from the world. Nezuko Kamado, Tanjiro’s younger sister, plays a central role in the show after being turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji.

Unlike other demons, Nezuko possesses a unique trait—immunity to sunlight, earning her the title of “The Chosen Demon.” While the show doesn’t explicitly explain this immunity, theories suggest a connection to the Sun Breathing technique.

Although not directly linked to the technique’s creator, the Kamado family, Yoriichi Tsukiguni, practices Sun Breathing in a ritual ceremony every new year. This lineage connection may explain why Nezuko’s Blood Demon Art is fire-based.

Nezuko is a demon who refuses to consume human blood, surviving without harming humans. In a critical battle against Upper Rank 4 Demon Hantengu, Nezuko defied the deadly effects of sunlight. Initially susceptible to sunlight, she seems to have developed this immunity over time, possibly due to her lineage and diet choices.

Muzan, the main antagonist, searches for the Blue Spider Lily, a flower with vital properties. Nezuko’s immunity might be connected to this flower, raising theories that she might have consumed it as a child, possibly known to the Kamado family.

An intriguing aspect is Nezuko’s independence from Muzan’s control, a rare feat among demons. Muzan’s omniscient knowledge about his creations doesn’t extend to Nezuko, granting her a unique strength. This immunity and autonomy make Nezuko a formidable character in the Demon Slayer narrative.
